DR LEE-ANN JONES (MBCHB FC Rad Onc (SA) )originates from the Eastern Cape.
She studied an MBChB at the University of Cape Town and graduated in 1997. In 2004 she completed her oncology training at Groote Schuur Hospital.
Dr Jones was appointed as an oncologist at GVI Oncology in Port Elizabeth in 2005. In addition to consulting, she headed the trial unit at the Eastern Cape Oncology Centre as a principal and sub- investigator for several international clinical trials.
In 2015, Dr Jones relocated to Cape Town to join the Independent Clinical Oncology Network (ICON) as Clinical Executive where oncology treatment protocol review and development was one of her main focus areas.
Her heart has always been in patient care and in 2017, she moved to George to return to clinical practice.
Although she specialises in the treatment of all malignancies according to internationally accepted protocols, she has a particular interest in the treatment of lymphomas, breast cancer and gastro-intestinal cancers.
Dr Jones has completed training in the use of gamma-knife radiotherapy which is applicable to certain benign and malignant brain diagnoses.
